Call Outs

Updated for 2024.

Due to an increase in fuel prices, and my services being needed further afield due to a lack of clock repairers in Cornwall, I am having to travel further and further to help customers, and the cost to do so is rising. I am well aware that I am already charging less than what my competitors are charging. In order to be fair to the customers whose clocks I have in the workshop only one week a month will be allocated to customer visits, please check below for the next time I can come out.

Prices

Prices include first hour of labour, every additional hour is charged at £35

All EX postcodes within Cornwall are £100

For call outs outside of Cornwall please contact me for a quote

Dates

The following are the weeks this year that I will be conducting customer visits (I will cross the dates out as they become booked up):

Weeks Starting: 29th January, 26th February, 25th March, 29th April, 27th May, 24th June, 29th July, 26th August, 23rd September, 28th October, 25th November

Outside of these weeks a house visit will incur an additional £25 fee.

Call outs do not come with a guarantee, and the price is payable regardless of if I can repair the clock in-situ. Because of this if the clock is due a service I will no longer be coming out on a call out. This is to avoid customers paying for a call out when that money would be better spent going towards having the clock serviced.

The service intervals for clocks are:

Carriage Clocks - 5 Years
Mantel Clocks - 8 Years
Longcase Clocks - 10 Years

I am trying to be as fair as possible to the customers who rely on me to come out and help, as well as those who are waiting patiently for their clock to be repaired in my workshop.
